M& Partners was created by Carlos M. Lizán in 2015 encouraged by a group of startups that were being accelerated by Wayra (Telefónica) at that time.
It had a tremendous acceptance in the market from the beginning.
In our first year, we topped he first positions in the rankings of M&A and venture capital deals in Spain and, not only that, but also we were awarded as one of the 5 Best New Law firms in Spain in the “I Awards for Excellence In Business Law” in 2015 by Diario Expansion.
The Firm has always been proud of being witness of some of the most historical moments of the Spanish Startup Ecosystem.
The core of the Firm has always been the growth of our startups, broadly speaking, which focuses on the main stages of their life: when the founders meet, the first investment round, the protection of the technology, the negotiation of key contracts, the Series A, B and C rounds and finally the sale of the company.
The project and the concept have been alive since then, but with different names and different partners until in 2023, the brand M & Partners was brought back by its founder, Carlos M. Lizán, preserving the essence of its origin, but adding the experience of all the years to date plus all the existing legal tech advantages.
The result is a modern Law Firm, strongly specialized in startups, with a vast experience and a highly recognized know-how in investment rounds (www.investme.io) that embraces technology and it uses a flexible structure, more adequate to the current times.
